What can you do if you discover that your photos are missing?

Stop using the computer immediately or remove the storage device from the computer

You can’t find your graduation, wedding or other photos from the computer? First, check the computer’s Recycle Bin. If you found your file, you can recover it to the same location where it was before deleting it.

If you couldn’t find your file from Recycle Bin, stop using the computer immediately or remove the storage device from the computer! Files don’t instantly disappear from the computer after the delete command, but deleted photos are overwritten with new data during further use. This means that the less activity there is after losing or deleting photos, the greater the chance of recovering your files

Handle “free” data recovery software found online with caution

With a quick Google search, you can find many “free” software options for data recovery. We recommend for you to approach them with extreme caution. If a program fails to deliver what was promised, data recovery might become very complicated and expensive even when handled by a professional. It is easier and often more cost-effective to contact an experienced technician right away.

    How do we recover photos at Netiabi Computer Repair Shop?

    Problem description from the customer

    First, we would like to receive your description on where did you last see and use the photos or what did you do with them? The information you have provided will become our guideline on how to approach the search for your photos.

    Diagnostics

    We will identify which of the deleted or lost data can be recovered. Diagnostics usually takes 1-5 days. We will then provide a list of files that can be recovered and information on the price range as well as how much work is required. Storage device diagnostics is free of charge!

    Customer’s decision to recover data

    If our offer is suitable and you have found the lost file that you would like to recover from the list provided, then with your approval we can start the work right away.

    Data recovery

    We recover images and photos from different damaged storage devices, all operating systems and computers. If we are unable to recover your data, we will not charge you for the service!

    Returning data

    We will return your recovered data as agreed upon and give you recommendations on how to prevent similar problems in the future.

    NB! The easiest way to avoid losing your photo files is to have a backup! Depending on the volume of important data, you can use a memory stick with a larger storage capacity, an external hard drive, a server or a cloud storage option which in some cases enables to automatically save photo files for later use (for example iCloud).
